The Anchor Chain, sometimes known as the Sanctaphrax Chain, was a massive chain that kept the floating city of Sanctaphrax in place. Without the Anchor Chain, Sanctaphrax would drift off into Open Sky. In Midnight Over Sanctaphrax, Twig and Cowlquape released the Anchor Chain to clear the way for the Mother Storm.
