Barktrolls were a kind of troll which formed colonies in the Deepwoods. It was mentioned in Stormchaser when Twig and Cowlquape were looking at the posting pole. The advert was about a tug-master bound for the ironwood copses of the barktrolls who needed two extra pairs of hands.
