The Winter Knights were a group consisting of Quintinius Verginix, Belphinius Mendellix, Stope and Raffix Emilius. They were named by Raffix because a meeting of theirs was intruded upon by Vilnix Pompolnius, who inquired about the reason for their meeting. Raffix responded by saying that they were forming a pulpit society named Winter Knights.
On the day of the Battle of the Knights Academy, the Winter Knights, along with Maris Verginix, acted on Philius Embertine‘s request to sail to open sky and release some stormphrax. There, they found a trapped cloudeater which they freed using the stormphrax, consequently releasing Sanctaphrax from the Endless Winter.
The Winter Knights also reassembled prior to the Battle of the Bringer of Doom, where they fought against the forces of the Leagues aboard Quint’s ship, Galerider.
