The Great West Tunnel was a passage through the heartrock of Old Sanctaphrax. It led from the side of the Old Sanctaphrax rock into the Ancient Laboratory, where life could be created. The Great West Tunnel was only accessible by using the low-sky cages hanging down from the West Landing. Linius Pallitax used the Great West Tunnel rather than the Great Library Tunnel to get to the laboratory.
