I noticed that you just signed your name by putting "--The Strange Traveler" on the Fauna category talk page. In order to properly write your signature on a talk page, you should put 4 tildes "~ ~ ~ ~" (without spaces), and it will put your name, with links to your profile and talk page, as well at the date/time of when you posted the message. The Strange Traveler
The Strange Traveler will maybe edit the Farrow Ridges after Undertown and the Deepwoods
What classifies an article stub?
Categorizing an article as a stub signals other people that the article needs work. It is also helpful to remember later that you wanted to have someone have a look at it or add something later after you looked it up.
Who should be on the list of deaths?
This should be decided by answering the follwing questions:
1) Was it one (possibly named) person?
2)Did this character's death influence any other character's decisions?
So for example: Academy of Wind=Unnamed people, no impacts on characters decision, shouldn't be included. Tug's mother=Named, Tug fled the Nightwoods, should be included
How do we deal with last words that we don't know?
N/A (not applicable) if someone is not capable of speech
Varies if members of a group said different things, but they should generally be seperated.
Words over sounds: If someone uttered last words and then screamed and then died, we keep the last words.
Speech marks seperate words from sounds. "Aiiii" is a word, "he screamed" a sound.
Hi. Martingloamg and I are thinking about changing the day and time of the chat time. Thursday is often very busy. So the chat time never really worked out more than once.
We would like to change it to a sunday/saturday afternoon (Greenwich Mean Time). Of course, we don't expect this to work out either, but it would be nice to at least have a certain possibility of doing this. Would you be interested, and if yes, because of the timezone differences, what time would be possible?
Sorry if this is a double reply but I replied the first time and it didn't look like anything happened. I think that changing the chat time to something that might work is a good idea. I live in Alaska, nine hours behind Greenwhich Mean Time, so your afternoon is my morning but I think it can still work. Anytime between 5 PM your time (8 AM my time) and whenever you and Martingloamg go to sleep should work. As for which day of Saturday and Sunday, it doesn't make a difference to me. I don't currently or in the near future have anything going on at those times on those days, so we should go with whatever works best for you two.
Alaska! I would't have guessed that! I thought you were maybe 6 hours behind GMT.
Okay, so I wrote Martingloamg that everything after 5:30 pm GMT would be okay. That would mean 8:30 am for you and 6:30 pm for me.
Do you know why Wodgiss is celebrated on the 16th of December? The blog post about Wodgiss on Weird New Worlds was published on the 21st, so that's not the reason and the article on Wodgiss Night has no more information.
Again sorry if this is a double reply but again it looked like nothing happened the first time.
Okay, good that everything is worked out. Judging by your comments elsewhere the plan is for those times on Sunday? I should be able to join this Sunday, if you and Martingloamg can, to get a good start with the new times.
As for Wodgiss... I don't know, but I would guess that it has something to do with the page that is it first mentioned on. Maybe page 16 of Beyond the Deepwoods? I don't have a copy of the book (I always read public library copies) so I can't check to be sure.
I had the same problem too, you can read the same message two times now. Plus, it looks weird. Martingloamg didn't reply yet, so we'll see about the exact time, but I think we at least have a time slot now.
I checked, it is not page 16. It was a good idea though. I also checked in the histroy of the article on Wodgiss Night, the person who wrote that there was not registered on the wiki. Just someone with the IP adress: 18.104.22.168, apparently from Canada. That person made exactly 1 edit to this wiki and that was the sentence about Earth Wodgiss Night being on December 16th. The edit was made on May 27th, 2009. The Weird New Worlds article was published in Dec 21st, 2009. So it's not at all related to anything!
Should we change that date? It would make much more sense for it to be on December 21st. And it's not like anyone even knew that there was an Earth Wodgiss Night.
I agree that the date should be chaged to December 21st. The current date may have some connection to something, but if it exists it must be obscure if none of us know it. December 21st is a much more obvious date.
Hi. This was an automated message, so I just wanted to say hello in person. I see you haven't worked on another wiki before, so please ask me or Gloamglozer if you need any help on our chat pages(or just reply to this message). Remember that any mistakes can be corrected and to have fun! If you're not sure what to work on I have some suggestions on my user page,
